Step into this Beautiful Summer Outdoor City Wedding in Manchester, Coordinated by Chloe
Let's Set the Scene...
This couple booked me as their wedding coordinator in Manchester for 2023. After a long final details meeting over a few drinks, I knew they truly wanted a relaxed, informal, and fun wedding. They aimed to enjoy spending time with their 45 guests under the Summer sun of Manchester.
They had chosen the absolutely gorgeous Black Friar in Salford, who provided all the catering for the day. The menu featured a delicious pie selection for the wedding breakfast, along with plenty of his and hers cocktails named after their beloved dogs, Harry and Rocky.
The Thoughtful Extras & Details
Fabia and Mike had truly thought of everything. They included fun table games for guests to enjoy during their drinks reception after the ceremony. Each guest received a cute little menu along with a pin from the Dog's Trust, featuring a pre-made donation and an image of Harry. This was especially meaningful, as they had adopted Harry the year before. Their dogs are essentially their fur babies, so we included them on their custom-designed wedding day signs and named their cocktails after them. Oh, and did I mention they were also the ring bearers during the ceremony? They were the stars of the show, and rightly so!
Now for the Couple Themselves...
Fabia and Mike were possibly the best-dressed couple of the year for me. Fabia's Sarah Seven dress and lace-edged cathedral-length veil absolutely blew me away. It was delicate, clean, and feminine, featuring a beautiful tulle neckline. Mike wore a classic black tuxedo suit with a bow-fronted waistcoat and a pink pocket square that matched the day's main colour tone. The rest of his male counterparts wore similar outfits. Fabia's bridesmaids were stunningly mismatched in various styles and shades of pink, proving that the mismatched look, when done well, is simply gorgeous.
Wedding Pros Who Brought It All Together
First and foremost, the stunning photos you're looking at were shot by the amazing Birches & Pine Photography.
The ceremony was conducted by the lovely Connie of Wit & Wonder Ceremonies, who is just that—funny and wonderful—telling the couple's beautiful story.
The gorgeous venue and catering were provided by The Black Friar, Salford.
And lastly, there's me!
I began my work around two months before Fabia and Mike's big day, ensuring all their carefully made plans came together seamlessly. I advised on the timings, discussed how the ceremony could unfold and helped them incorporate their dogs, their bridal party and their family. I also created their welcome sign, seating plan and cocktail menu signs.
On the day, I set everything up, welcomed arriving suppliers and guests, ensured everyone was seated and ready for the ceremony and ran the music until the DJ arrived. I liaised with James (the photographer) on where things would take place and when, orchestrating the master of ceremonies.
I ensured the couple's personal items were set out in the right place at the right time. I oversaw all drinks and food services and organised the cake cutting and first dance with the DJ.

Chloe was genuinely amazing! She put our minds at ease the week before the wedding- just assuring us that everything would be sorted etc. nothing was too much for her. On the day she organised us, the venue and other bits and bobs. She was the middle man between us and the venue. She helped make our day so special! Honestly would recommend her! My partner was sceptical initially but we are so so glad we had Chloe there! The signs she made for us were such a talking point and they looked amazing.
Each wedding is a long but incredibly rewarding day for me. I witness and help each of my couples bring their carefully designed plans to life.
